Questions
- Does my data leave the browser?
- No. The parser runs client-side and there is no backend, no upload and no analytics on the content you paste.
- Does it handle commas inside a value?
- Yes. Fields wrapped in double quotes keep commas, line breaks and escaped quotes ("") intact, following the RFC 4180 convention.
- Why is 007 still a string?
- Numbers with leading zeros are kept as text on purpose, otherwise zip codes and phone numbers would silently lose digits. Turn off number detection to keep every value as text.
- What if my objects have different keys?
- Going from JSON to CSV, the columns are the union of all keys in the order they first appear, and missing values are written as empty cells.
