Source List
The sources under your article, in one shape
News posts, guides and reviews usually end with a list of where the facts came from. Every site writes that list by hand in its own shape, and nobody notices when one of those pages disappears. Put the links you already have inside the mount point as an ordinary list of a tags, and the widget draws them as one numbered block: the title as a link, and under it the domain, the language of the source and the day you checked it. The list you wrote stays in the page, so search engines and visitors without JavaScript still read it. A server re-checks the links in the background and marks one only when it returned 404 or 410, or its domain vanished, on two checks at least 20 hours apart. Blocks, rate limits, server errors and timeouts never count as failures, and a link it cannot judge gets no mark at all, because one wrong mark makes a sound source look broken. No favicons or preview images are loaded; the domain name carries the same information. Included in the BootSignal subscription ($20/mo or $200/yr, every widget on 1 domain, add more from the dashboard). Unlimited sources while subscribed.
Demo
A real widget drawing the three links written inside the mount point, each with its title, domain, language and the day it was checked. A link is marked only after the server has seen it fail on two checks at least 20 hours apart; a link it cannot judge gets no mark at all
Integration
The same loader (bootsignal.js) powers your other widgets too. An active subscription is required to run the widget. data-label changes the heading, data-numbers="off" drops the numbers, and data-status="off" turns the link check off.
Pricing
Pricing is a single BootSignal subscription: $20/mo or $200/yr (2 months free). It unlocks every widget on 1 registered domain, and you can add more domains from the dashboard. Writing sources requires an active subscription; while subscribed, usage is unlimited with no per-use charges, and reading is always free for visitors. Manage the subscription at accounts.mrlatte.net. See full pricing →
