Open Hours

One line that tells visitors whether the doors will be open when they arrive

A place page can list its weekly hours, and visitors still have to work out what day it is and what time it is there before they know whether to go. Write the hours on the mount point and one line appears, such as "Open now, closes 7:00 PM" or "Closed today, opens tomorrow 9:30 AM"; press it and the next seven days open below. The widget takes care of the parts that fail quietly. The current time is read in the place's own time zone, not on the visitor's device, so someone checking from abroad is never told a closed place is open. Hours that run past midnight, such as 18:00-02:00, carry over from the day before, so at 1 am the bar still shows as open. A palace or a museum that stops letting people in before it closes sets data-last-entry, and from that moment the line says entry is closed. Days off go in data-closed and hours that change with the season in data-seasons. The widget does not know public holidays, so list them as days off. When the hours or the time zone cannot be read, nothing is drawn. If the page already carries openingHoursSpecification structured data, data-from="jsonld" reads the hours from there. Included in the BootSignal subscription ($20/mo or $200/yr, every widget on 1 domain, add more from the dashboard). Unlimited places while subscribed.
